Alex "PoeticSoul" Johnson is a teaching artist, poet, performer and leader of the spoken word movement called "Lyrically Inclined", an organization that hosts spoken word events throughout Lafayette. She was the recipient of the "Rising Star" award at the 2018 annual ICON Awards in Lafayette, an organization that celebrates people who make an impact in Acadiana through arts, business and culture.
